Good-bye Pancake

So if you've read my blog, you know that the name was inspired by my dog. Sadly, my poodle, Dharma, passed away on August 12. It was her time to go and I saw it coming. She was buried this weekend at the Humane Society.

Shortly after she died, I started a new job, teaching art to elementary school students. I am glad to have a new job as my dog was with me in my studio when I worked. If I wasn't so busy right now, I would miss her even more so.

Now the task at hand is to update my blog. I have already thought of a new name and am in the phase of sketching ideas for a new header. It will still be devoted to my faithful companion. I plan to have it up within the next two weeks. Stay tuned. And R.I.P. my little pancake.

  1. So sorry to hear of Dharma's passing. She seemed like a dog with a lot of personality and spunk. I'm sure her memory will be honored perfectly in your future illustrations.

  2. Our pets have such a big place in our lives and their personalities and habits are unique to each one. It really does make it hard to say good-bye!
